One Church, Multiple Communities: NTC gathers as one church family across Massena, Ogdensburg, and Potsdam, helping people follow Jesus in everyday life.
About NTC
NTC is a non-denominational church family with communities in Massena, Ogdensburg, and Potsdam, and part of Ministers Fellowship International. The mission is simple: Know God, Love One Another, and Make Disciples.
We often say people are not coming together for church — they are the church coming together. The building is a gathering place. The family of people is the church.

Who We Are
NTC is a non-denominational church family across Massena, Ogdensburg, and Potsdam, and part of Ministers Fellowship International. The church is led by Lead Pastors Greg and Jessica Hurlbut, a Pastoral Lead Team, and an Eldership Team, alongside team leaders and small group leaders who pastor the community.
We often say people are not coming together for church — we are the church coming together. Without the people who gather in the building or tune in online, the building is only a structure. Since the beginning, God created people for one another with purpose in mind, and NTC believes the church is God's vehicle for providing family and purpose.
Greg and Jessica Hurlbut grew up in NTC and served on staff in youth ministry beginning in 2005. In 2016, they transitioned into their current roles as Lead Pastors. The Lead Team handles daily operations, the Eldership Team provides oversight and accountability, and both serve alongside leaders who care for groups, teams, and the wider church family.
Greg also serves as the regional director of MFI Northeast. For more information and regional MFI events, contact him at greg@ntcmassena.com.
Full Timeline

Tom Wells led a small group of people who had been traveling from Massena to Madrid for church to establish a church in their own town.
The new church began by meeting in homes, then moved into a couple of rented locations as the group grew.
The Andrews Street property in Massena was purchased and construction began on NTC's first building.
A large addition expanded the footprint to what remains today in Massena, and Pastor Tom joined MFI (Ministers Fellowship International), a relationship that has helped shape NTC for decades.
Tom Wells and others moved to Williamsburg, VA to plant a church (Life Church), and Don Curry became lead pastor in Massena.
Pastor Don Curry led NTC while the church started and strengthened churches in Ottawa, Cornwall, Akwesasne, Malone, Burlington, Saranac Lake, and Plattsburgh.
NTC also invested in established churches in the region and in international locations including Romania, Colombia, Georgia and Uganda.
Greg and Jessica Hurlbut began serving on staff in youth ministry after growing up in the NTC church family.
As Don and Mary Curry planted a thriving NTC church in Plattsburgh, Greg and Jessica transitioned in as NTC Massena's Lead Pastors.
NTC has updated the property to better serve the ministries offered today.
NTC celebrated 40 years as a church with a heart and desire to continue extending God's Kingdom through people's lives and church plants.
NTC remains active in the community, connected to the larger Church through Ministers Fellowship International, and expectant for where God will lead in the next 40 years.
Values
These values are not a doctrinal statement. They describe the focus, perspective, passion, and investment that guide how NTC spends time, energy, and resources.
You are not alone. God designed us to be together, so NTC welcomes everyone with open arms to be part of the family.
What you see is what you get. NTC believes Jesus' strength is made perfect in weakness and is not afraid to be honest about it.
The local church through Jesus is the hope of the world, and NTC believes the Church can accomplish infinitely more together than apart.
God's promise of salvation is more than a ticket to heaven. With Him, people keep moving toward restoration of body, mind, and spirit.
NTC strives not to make its own plans as a church or as individuals. The Holy Spirit is the guide, and the church seeks to follow His lead.
Worship is not only a Sunday song set. NTC worships together on Sundays and daily through an attitude of surrender in all things.
Missions is not only across the world. It is lived every day as NTC brings the Kingdom of God to earth.
Faith requires action. NTC believes there is no decision too hard and no cost too high when following in Christ's footsteps to the cross.
Beliefs
What we believe shapes how we worship, how we love, and how we live on mission. These convictions keep us rooted in Scripture, centered on Jesus, and open to the transforming work of the Holy Spirit.
He has eternally existed as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The three are coequal and are one God.
Scriptures: Genesis 1:1, 26, 27; Genesis 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14.
He is coequal with the Father and Holy Spirit. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven and will return again someday to earth to reign as King.
Scriptures: Matthew 1:22-23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; Hebrews 4:14-15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; Colossians 2:9-10; 1 Timothy 6:14-15.
The Holy Spirit is coequal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He provides Christians with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer spiritual gifts when they are saved. As Christians we seek to live under His control daily.
Scriptures: Acts 1:8; John 14:16-17; John 16:7-13; Galatians 5:25; 1 Corinthians 2:12; 1 Corinthians 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Peter 1:2.
The Bible was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs about living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without error.
Scriptures: 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 119:105, 160; Psalm 12:6; Proverbs 30:5; Isaiah 55:11.
People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called sin. Sin separates us from God and causes many problems in our life.
Scriptures: Genesis 1:27; Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2; Psalm 139:13-16; Colossians 2:13-15.
We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin's penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.
Scriptures: Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6; Romans 5:1; Romans 5:8; Romans 10:9-10.
People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life in Heaven. Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.
Scriptures: John 3:16; John 14:17; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15; Philippians 2:5-11; Matthew 25:31-34, 41.
Once we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, baptism is a way for us to publicly declare our new life in Christ. It is also a step of obedience based on God's commands and allows us to follow the example of Jesus, who submitted himself to baptism to fulfill all righteousness.
Scriptures: Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:41; Acts 8:12; Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12.
NTC receives believers without passing judgment on disputable matters. Each person will give an account to God, and Christian freedom should be used for what is beneficial, constructive, and good for others.
Scriptures: Romans 14:1, 4, 12, 22; 1 Corinthians 10:23-24.
